Two-week-long filmmaking workshops in Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeast of Iran.
The first workshop took place in Saravan, a small border city with Pakistan, and the second workshop took place in Zabol, a small border city with Afghanistan. In both workshops, while enhancing and developing their creativity, students became familiar with the elementary process of filmmaking through practical exercises.
The focus of these workshops was on motivating a minimalistic, independent, and artistic approach in the students’ cinematic attitude. In each workshop, between three to five short films under five minutes were produced. One of the most impressive ones, produced in Saravan, was a five-minute single-shot experimental film entitled Suicide
