2021-2022 — Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart
This 5-month residency took place during the COVID-19 pandemic. I spent most of my time developing the pre-production stage of my documentary film, Density of Emptiness, which is part of a series of documentaries in the project A Sense of Place, produced by Afsun Moshiry (Road River Films production) and Hamidreza Pejman (Pejman Foundation), in collaboration with Wim Wenders Foundation, Pejman Foundation, and LA Onda Productions. I then remotely directed the documentary during the production stage, with shooting in Tehran, Iran, while I was in Stuttgart, Germany, and subsequently worked on the film’s initial editing drafts during its post-production stage:
