Paris Cergy National Graduate School of Art (ENSAPC), October to December 2023

I was invited by ENSAPC (Paris Cergy National Graduate School of Art) to serve as a contract lecturer and conduct a three-month practical filmmaking workshop. The goal was to teach students all stages of filmmaking, from brainstorming to visualizing ideas and projecting them on the big screen, by actively working on their own projects. Students learned to communicate, engage in conversations, and help each other bring their works to life.

In 11 sessions of 4 to 5 hours each, the aim was to produce a short documentary film of 5 to 10 minutes. To streamline the production process, I gave students certain formal constraints to help them position themselves uniquely in relation to narrative arc methods. The students were very receptive, and in total, 8 short documentaries were created and presented to a large audience at the Ygrec-ENSAPC Art Centre in Paris.
