Synopsis 

After eight years of marriage, Maryam and Bashoo decide to divorce but continue living together to keep their families from finding out. In Iran's traditional and religious society, living together as an unmarried couple is illegal and considered a sin. Scenes from a Divorce provides an intimate yearlong look at their private life, exploring the reasons behind their decision to end their marriage while still cohabiting.
